More than 50 years Italian tradition for New Year

To usher in the new year, Italian observe an age long tradition of men jumping into River Tiber. This year is not left out as crowd gather around Cavour bridge to see the traditional activity. Each year, at around midday, the divers jump from the bridge, some gracefully and some less so, for the enjoyment of the many onlookers. The public, fighting the cold in heavy coats and furs, applauded the divers enthusiastically, including a driver called Mister OK – real name is Giuseppe Palmulli – who has been diving at the event for over 20 years. This tradition has been there for more that 50 years and is religiously done every year.
